Illinois State University President Resigns

This comes after an investigation.
NORMAL  - Illinois State University President Timothy Flanagan resigned Saturday.

Flanagan became the University's 18th president in May of 2013. The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University met this morning and appointed Larry Dietz, vice president for 
Student Affairs, as the University’s 19th president, effective today. The Illinois State University Police Department announced Friday its investigation into an alleged incident involving now former President Flanagan was complete. Initial reports state the alleged incident took place outside of Flanagan's home in December, with alleged charges of assault and disorderly conduct.
