Tax day is right around the corner, you have just less than a week to file.
If you don’t think you can make that deadline, an IRS employee we spoke with says getting an extension is easy.
You do still have to file that six month extension by next Tuesday, April 15.
If you haven’t filed yet, but plan to, the IRS offers a free filing option on its website.
"We have something called "Free File" and this is 14 big tax software companies that partner with the IRS and if you made less than $58,000 you can do your federal tax return for free," said Michael Devine, of IRS Media relations.
For those of you awaiting a refund, Devine says it takes about three weeks.
