Life after Country Life Music Festival

Organizers say the weekend went better than expected.
PEORIA - Crews are out at Ravina on the Lakes today tearing down the Country Life Music Festival stage.

But over the weekend, thousands packed the place to catch some of country’s biggest stars.

Between the three days, nearly 30,000 people came out, and organizers say the festival exceeded their expectations.

“We’re very happy with how things went, no major glitches,” Brad Maloney, the festival’s promoter, said. “The volunteers were amazing, all the staff that we had were amazing. We just pulled off a great, quality event for the city of Peoria.”

They did have to make some changes through the course of the weekend such as change shuttle routes, but organizers plan to have a meeting in the next few days to talk about some tweaking they can do.

They say they plan to have another Country Life Music Festival again next year.
