PEORIA - With all the rebuilds following the November tornados, the local housing market is improving.
The Peoria Area Association of Realtors reported that second quarter home sales were up 3.2 percent from 2013.
The improvement comes despite sluggish first quarter numbers due to a brutally cold winter.
The average home price also increased by about $5,000.
The PAAR says that many of the rebuilds are properties in Washington, East Peoria and Pekin.
