Local Leaders Speak Out in Favor of Immigration

Today the McLean County Chamber of Commerce hosted a forum urging the House of Representatives to find a common sense solution for the immigration system.
McLean County - Local business leaders are speaking out in favor of immigration reform.
Today the McLean County Chamber of Commerce hosted a forum urging the House of Representatives to find a common sense solution for the immigration system.
Panelists included the Illinois Farm Bureau and Caterpillar.
Each promoted immigration reform that will help rebuild the state's economy.
The strategy is all in effort to boost job creation for Illinois companies with the talent they need.

Ben Taylor of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce says, "Immigration reform I think would help to really provide a jump start for this economy. Hopefully it will give investors confidence to continue to invest in the country. It would hopefully effect and bolster ourcompetitiveness."

This event is the first step to launch the "Illinois Road to Recovery" August recess campaign.
Today's Forum is the first of many across the state.
