WMBD/WYZZ-TV - BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The top recently-graduated senior basketball players at ready for the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-Star games Saturday.
And some local layers are glad they're in uniform for the game.
"It's a real honor to be playing with a bnch of great players," said Fieldcrest grad Brady Sanders. "It's nice to have Bodee (Schlipf) and Jared (McCunn) also playing. I have some friends playing with me."
El Paso's Schlipf and Eureka's McCunn join Sanders on the North team in the small school All-Star game at the Shirk Center. That 5 p.m. game will feature players from Class 1A and 2A schools.
"You always want team success instead of individual success," said McCunn. "It's just an honor to represent Eureka High."
The large school game, featuring Class 3A and 4A players, will follow the small school contest.
"It's definitely going to be fun," said Normal Weast grad Trevor Seibring. "It's an honor to play with such great players. Hopefully it will be fun."
