Recovery continues in Washington and now tornado victims have even more help in the long run.

A half a million dollar grant from the Robert R. McCormick Foundation has opened a Tri-County long term recovery headquarters office.

The facility can be used by storm victims throughout the entire recovery process.

It will make it easier for residents to find the help they need all in one place.

"By asking the clients one time what their needs are, what their financial condition is, they don't have to fill out 40 forms, they don't have to talk to 40 caseworkers, they have on caseworker, who is their key, that lets them in to all the services that are available," said Jim Massino, the Long Term Recovery Chairman.

"And so just to be able to come in here and get everything that's available, we can take that and bring it to someone else.  And then they can take that and bring it to someone else.  And that's how we're helping the community," said Samantha Heard, a tornado victim.

The recovery office is located in the Sunnyland Washington Plaza.
