McLean Co. Auditor Must Look to 2014 Budget to Pay for Furniture

County Administrator Bill Wasson says the rejection from the 2013 budget means Anderson must now look for line items in 2014's budget to cover the payments.
BLOOMINGTON - After exceeding the McLean County auditor's office and operational budget, the McLean County Finance Board has rejected the bill, but a McLean County administrator says the auditor is in no danger of losing her job.

Michelle Anderson purchased $13,000 worth of new furniture and spent another $1,000 to replace pictures in her office. County Administrator Bill Wasson says the rejection from the 2013 budget means Anderson must now look for line items in 2014's budget to cover the payments.

The county auditor is allotted $5,000 per year for office and operational expenses.
