Chestnut Health Systems will be adding a new family health center to the Fairview Campus.
NORMAL- Chestnut Health Systems plans for expansions have been given the green light.

On Tuesday the Mclean County Board approved Chestnut's plans for a new family health center to the Fairview Campus.

The project is expected to cost more than $4 million and will be built over the next 3 years.

The county will fund the construction with Chestnut paying the county back over time.

The new facility will allow people to have easy access to physicians and counseling services all in one location.

"More importantly it's a big win I think for people in Mclean County who are going to have ready acces to a, a modern and a very neccessary medical and behavioral health facility," added Alan Sender, Chestnut Health Systems Chief Operating Officer.

The new clinic will have more than a dozen exam rooms.

Once built, it will be the first health center of its kind in Mclean County.
