Morning Weather Discussion 2/10/14

Another bitter cold day, but we are looking for a long range warm up.
A WIND CHILL ADVISORY is in effect for Central Illinois until 11 am today. High pressure will keep us clear, but cold this afternoon. Highs today will only warm into the single digits above zero. We're looking for another cold night tonight, with lows in the negative single digits and wind chills as low as -20. Fortunately, Tuesday is looking sunny again with highs near 10 degrees. A better warm up begins on Wednesday. Highs for the middle of the week will high the mid 20s. Thursday could see highs in the mid 30s, but a weak low pressure system will bring mostly cloudy skies and a chance at a few flurries. Friday will be drier and cooler, seeing highs in the mid 20s. A better chance of light snow comes on Saturday, but temperatures are looking warmer this weekend. Expect mid 30s through Sunday. Next week could be even warmer. Highs next Monday and Tuesday will be near 40 degrees!
