A cold front slowly sliding in today will bring scattered morning showers and thunderstorms. Behind the front, clearing and drying will build in this afternoon. Highs today will be cooler than the past few days, reaching the mid 70s. A few storms may build east of I-55 this afternoon, but they should move east rather quickly. High pressure moving in overnight will clear skies into Saturday. Lows will drop back into the low 50s. Tomorrow will be sunny and nice with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. By Saturday night, a developing low pressure system will bring in a chance of overnight storms. More rain is expected by Mother's Day afternoon, lasting into the day on Monday. Temperatures will be mild and muggy both days in the upper 70s and low 80s. An unsettled pattern will last us into the middle of next week. Rain chances are hard to pin down for now, but we could see the potential for scattered rain and clouds Tuesday through Thursday. Temperatures will be stuck in the 60s for much of next week.
