New Lottery Ticket to Help Special Olympic Athletes

NORMAL - "Go for Gold" scratch-off tickets will raise nearly seven hundred thousand dollars for Special Olympics Illinois.
NORMAL - With the Special Olympics Summer Games underway, there is a new way you can help the athletes, if you play the lottery.

The state has created a new scratch off lottery ticket called "Go for Gold".

Governor Pat Quinn was at the opening ceremonies to sign legislation that would create the new game,

The two dollar ticket is expected to raise around seven hundred dollars, which will go to Special Olympics Illinois.

The tickets will be available next year.
