A new We Ask America poll indicates Bruce Rauner in the lead in the hotly contested GOP gubernatorial race in Illinois. Rauner leads with nearly 36 percent compared to Kirk Dillard's 17 percent and Bill Brady's 13 percent. Nearly 27 percent of Republican voters are still undecided. Meanwhile, polling conducted for Senator Bill Brady of Bloomington shows the contest is a two way race between he and Rauner. That poll showed Rauner at 32 percent and Brady at 24 percent. Among the most likely voters, Rauner lead Brady by 4 points. The winner in the primary election moves on to the November general election. Meantime, the Illinois Retired Teachers Association threw their support Wednesday to Senator Kirk Dillard. The endorsement comes on the heels of the endorsement from the Illinois Education Association.
