A Normal resident, accused of robbing a Normal grocery store three times last year, was found NOT GUILTY by reason of insanity Friday . That ruling came after two psychiatric reports indicate Jason Reeves was mentally ill at the time of the holdups at the Kroger store in January, February and March of last year. Reeves was wounded by a security officer during the last robbery. Police claim an off duty Chenoa officer, Andrew Smith, who was the security guard at Kroger on March 10th last year, confronted Reeves who produced what appeared to be a handgun but turned out to be an air pistol and shot Reeves multiple times. Authorities ruled Smith was justified in the shooting.
