Peoria Cancer Research Program Receives Millions

Grant Money Going Towards Continuing Clinical Trials
A cancer research program, part of which is in Peoria, will be receiving millions in a new grant.

The Heartland Cancer Research NCI Community Oncology Research Program, or, Heartland NCORP,
will receive $2.5 million dollars from the National Cancer Institute.

Heartland NCORP has three community cancer programs, one of which is located in Peoria.

This five year grant will annually fund the program.

It will allow for cancer clinical trials to continue.
