Average retail gas prices in Peoria have risen .3 cents per gallon in the past week, according to a release Monday from GasBuddy.com. Prices were 5.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago but 3 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says prices may get worse as refiners purge supplies of winter spec gasoline. Refineries will be finishing up maintenance and there could be localized price spikes, according to DeHaan.
