A Peoria Heights woman, accused of throwing scalding water on her five year old daughter , was charged Thursday with aggravated battery. 33 year old Tiffany Fortune was being held Thursday night on 200 thousand dollar bond. As a condition of her bond, the judge ordered Fortune not have any contact with the alleged victim if she posts bond. The incident allegedly happened last Thursday inside a home in Peoria Heights. Police say the little girl was receiving treatment for her burns at the Springfield Burn Unit. The case will most likely be heard by a grand jury.
