Peoria Riverfront Museum Parking May Change

PEORIA - Parking fees may change at a Peoria staple this summer.
The Peoria Riverfront Museum is talking about making changes to its parking fees.

Sam Gappmayer, President of the museum, says they lost more money than that made on parking fees at their parking garage.
"It's just not something we should be losing money on, plus it might attract more people if we offer our visitors free parking", says Gappmayer.

He's suggesting waiving the parking fee for those visiting the Riverfront Museum and the Caterpillar Museum.
Those parking in the garage who venture out to the riverfront will still have to pay for parking in the garage.

The changes are still in the works and may be up and running by summer.
