A Peoria man, indicted for the city's 11th homicide of the year, pleaded NOT GUILTY Thursday. 30 year old Stevie Linwood is facing one count of murder and one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Those charges stem from the September 10th shooting death of Sherman Smith. Police say Smith was found shot in the chest on a porch in the 2100 block of Howett Street. An argument apparently led to the homicide. Linwood is being held on one million dollar bond and will appear in court November 18th.
