Pilot killed in Nevada jet crash was Hopedale native

The crash happened on March 1st, but the pilot was identified Saturday.
FALLON - The pilot who died in a crash in Nevada on March 1st has been identified as a native of Hopedale, Ill.

WMBD 31'S news partner WJBC Radio reports 32-year-old Marine Capt. Reid Nannen died when his aircraft went down near Fallon, Nevada.  Nannen was a student with the TopGun training program at Naval Air Station Fallon. He was assigned to the marine corps air station in Iwakuni, Japan.
During his 10 year career in the military, Nannen was deployed to Afghanistan twice.  He is survived by his wife and four children.

Friends and family have established an online memorial fund in his name.
