Quinn Looks to Improve Infrastructure in Illinois

Illinois' infrastructure received a sub-par C-minus grade from the ASCE. Quinn proposes ways for improvement.

EAST PEORIA - Quinn was in Central Illinois this afternoon to speak at the Innovations Conference on Asphalt and Transportation. He stressed the need to create infrastructure that is more environmentally friendly. He says this will be a big part of Illinois’ soon-to be-announced five-year infrastructure plan. Quinn also stressed the importance of supporting Illinois’ 6,900 projects that are currently in progress.

“So we have to understand these are special people, public servants, helping us. Not only do we want to keep building and rebuilding, but we also want to make sure we take good care of those doing that job,” said Quinn.

The conference was held at the Par-A-Dice Hotel.
