Motorists should be aware of lane closures for Route 150 at the McClugage Bridge on Tuesday, April 22nd , the westbound left lane will be CLOSED from 8:30am to 3pm and Wednesday, April 23rd, the westbound left lane and center lane of Route 150 will be CLOSED from 8:30am to 3pm while the westbound right lane will be CLOSED Thursday, April 24th from 8:30am to 3pm. Meantime, work began this week at the intersection of Route 8 (Farmington Road) and Sterling Avenue in West Peoria. The work includes changing the traffic pattern on Farmington Road, beginning installation of temporary traffic signals and installation of storm sewer. Lane closures are expected to begin Wednesday, April 23rd. The overall project consist of geometric improvements for the right turn lane carrying Sterling traffic onto Farmington Road, relocation of traffic signals, pavement widening and storm sewer installation. The project is expected to be finished by September. Work to widen and resurface Route 91 through Dunlap began this week. No lane closures are expected as part of this work this week. Crews will be working on fence removal and water main installation. The overall project is expected to be completed in 2015. Work on the left lane of eastbound I 74 near Morton, scheduled for Monday evening has been postponed until Tuesday evening, due to the weather.
