Runners Welcome Warmer Weather

Running Central sees more business.

PEORIA – With the weather finally starting to stay warm, many people are starting to lace up their shoes and go out for a run.

Running Central in Peoria Heights says it’s been busy since March, but the past week has been especially busy.

The store says that getting back outside puts people in a better mood.

“When we get back outside and breathe the fresh air, it’s huge,” says Maggie Butterfield of Running Central. “It puts everybody in better moods and makes them feel better. We’re huge promoters of people getting out and moving.”

Warmer temperatures also mean more races.

Running Central says peak race season lasts from now until October.
