Rural Areas Emergency Response Services to Improve

New Legislation to Upgrade License Allowed
New legislation signed by Governor Pat Quinn today is ensuring better quality of care can be provided in ambulances across the state.

The legislation looks to help emergency response services in rural areas improve.

It allows ambulance providers in these rural areas to be upgraded to the highest EMT license of any person staffing the ambulance.

This will allow for more procedures to be used on patients when an ambulance responds to different kinds of emergencies.
