Soccer Fever Hits the Twin Cities

Fans packed local sports bars to cheer on Team USA.
BLOOMINGTON- Soccer fever has hit the Twin Cities.

Lots of fans packed local sports bars to get in on the action of the World Cup.

Fans at Legends Sports Bar and Grill cheered on Team USA as they kicked off against Belgium.

Fans say their excited to see Team USA Make it this far and are happy to root on the home team.

"You want to give a little country pride and hopefully they go out there and represent," said Tony Padin, a soccer fan.

"I used to play when I was a kid, you know, so I like it. You never get to see it on TV very much," added Michael Mahoney, another sports spectator.

"It's been very exciting. There's been a lot of good matches, a lot of good soccer being played," commented Matt Lauritzen, a soccer fan.

Unfortunately, Team USA lost their match against Belgium, with a final score of 2 to 1.

Despite the loss, fans were thrilled to partake in the action.
