Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Chuck Noll, the legendary leader of the vaunted Steel Curtain, has died at the age of 82.

Noll, the only coach in NFL history to win four Super Bowl titles, had fought complications with Alzheimer's, including a heart condition. He died in his sleep on Friday night at his home in Sewickley, PA.

Noll began his coaching career as a defensive assistant with the LA/San Diego Chargers and the Baltimore Colts before taking the helm in Pittsburgh.

He won back-to-back titles twice, the first pair coming in the 1974-75 seasons, then again in the 1978-79 seasons.

Noll was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993 after compiling a career record of 209-156-1, including the postseason.
