Students at Stevenson Elementary Jump Rope for Heart

Students jumped rope for almost an hour to raise money for the American Heart Association.
BLOOMINGTON- Students at Stevenson Elementary school jumped their way to healthier lifestyles.

It's all part of American Heart Association's Jump Rope for Heart program.

Over sixty Stevenson Elementary third graders helped to raise over eight-hundred and seventy-five dollars for the American Heart Association of Illinois.

These heart heroes jumped rope for about an hour on Tuesday in celebration.

The funds raised will go towards research for heart disease.

Organizers say it's not only about the donations but promoting healthy lifestyles for the kids.

Stevenson Elementary has participated in Jump Rope for Heart for twenty one years.
