Temperatures Remain Cool To Open Up May

Highs will remain in the low to mid 50's for Thursday
Wednesday's high of 51º was the coldest high to end the month of April in 20 years, and 17º below average for this time of year.  Another round of chilly temperatures before warmer air fills in beginning this weekend and into next week.

Clouds will hang around again tonight, with a few isolated light showers.  Winds will slowly diminish through the evening.  Lows will dip into the upper 30's and lower 40's.

Better chance for rain as the cut off low to our west moves over the state.  Winds will pick up through the day as well.  Highs will only top out in the lower 50's across central Illinois.

A few lingering showers will hang around as the low mixes slowly to the northeast.  Temperatures will remain cool with highs in the mid to upper 50's.

8 Day Outlook:

Sunshine will return for the weekend, with a slow warm up.  Highs will return to the 60's for Saturday and Sunday.  Temperatures should rebound nicely by the middle of next week, jumping back into the 70's by Tuesday.
