Terence Doddy in Custody

Man suspected of two murders is apprehended after crashing a car into a tree following a high speed chase.
ROCKTON, IL - The man suspected of two murders this week is in police custody.
36 year old Terence Doddy of Rockford was taken into custody around 11:30 Friday.
Police suspect him of killing 37 year old Todd Hansmeier on June 30th in Rockford.
They also suspect Doddy of the July 1st death of 44 year old Tony Bargman of Monticello, IL at a rest stop on Interstate 39.
An off duty Winnebago County police officer spotted Doddy near Machesney Park around 8:00 Thursday night.
An Illinois State Police trooper spotted a gray Nissan matching the description of Bargman’s car in Rockton, IL.
Six law enforcement agencies responded to the alert.
Doddy reportedly lost control of the car and crashed it into a tree after the 40-minute high speed chase.
No other injuries were reported.
Doddy remains in police custody in Wisconsin. Charges are pending.
