The Committee for Legislative Reform and Term Limits continued its legal battle Monday in the Illinois Appellate Court with the filing of its reply brief. The committee, chaired by gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner, filed its legal reply to the Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan backed lawsuit regarding letting voters decide on a binding Illinois constitutional amendment in November. Nearly 600,000 people signed the petition to put the issue on the ballot. Oral arguments will be heard Thursday and the case may end up in the Illinois Supreme Court.
