Washington Woman Facing Neglect Charges After Mother’s Death

Criminal neglect of an elderly person.
WASHINGTON - A Washington woman is facing a criminal charge for the death of her mother.

Jennifer Levin was charged last Thursday in Tazewell County court with criminal neglect of an elderly person.

The charge follows an investigation into the death of Levin's mother, Carole Levin, who was found dead last July inside their Washington home.

Autopsy results confirm, Carole Levin died from dehydration and starvation as a result of neglect. The Tazewell County Coroner says she hadn't seen a doctor in several years. Jennifer Levin is scheduled to be arraigned on April 3rd.
