Wind Chill Advisory in Effect Wednesday Night

Wind Chill Advisory in effect tonight as wind chills fall between -10 to -20
PEORIA - Another blast of arctic air will settle in Wednesday night.  A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for most of central Illinois beginning at 12am Thursday.

Air temperatures are expected to fall around 0º, with some areas falling just below 0º.  Winds out of the northwest between 15-25 mph will create bitterly cold wind chills between -15 to -20 by Thursday morning.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air combined with strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills.  This could result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.  If you must go outside, make sure you wear a hat and gloves, and minimize as much exposed skin as possible.

The Wind Chill Advisory will expire at 11 AM Thursday.
