Workers Sent to Hospital From CAT Proving Grounds

Three workers were sent to the hospital from CAT's Proving Grounds after feeling ill on the job.
TAZEWELL COUNTY - An incident Wednesday night at the Caterpillar Proving Grounds ends with 3 people being taken to the hospital.
According to Washington's Fire Chief, EMS crews responded to the Proving Grounds to help treat victims for carbon monoxide poisoning.
While the victims were working at the site, they are not Caterpillar employees.
They were transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
Their names and conditions are not known.

Caterpillar says, "Three employees of a contractor, who were working on Caterpillar property located at the Proving Grounds in East Peoria, felt ill around 8 p.m. last night. They were taken to a local hospital for observation and later released. Caterpillar is working with the contractor to see if we can determine what may have caused the incident and if any actions will need to be taken to avoid any future incidents."
