Young Adults Now Able To Vote In Upcoming Elections

PEORIA - A new law in Illinois allows some 17-year olds the opportunity to vote in upcoming elections.
Good news for young adults wanting to vote.

A new bill was passed in Illinois on January 1st that allows 17-year olds the opportunity to vote in the upcoming General Elections.

There is a catch though; those 17-year olds must be 18 by November 4th.
If teens do turn 18 before November 4th, then they’re allowed to also vote in the Primary Elections in March.

If a 17-year old plans on voting they must register by the deadline on February 18th.
