WMBD/WYZZ-TV - MACKINAW, Ill. - Most people aren't crazy about re-runs. But Deer Creek-Mackinaw High School is craving one.
Dee-Mack heads back to Redbird Arena this weekend, hoping to repeat as state volleyball champs.
"Last year it was the best weekend of the year," said senior Megan Stone. "For us to do it again this year, especially as a senior, it's more exciting."
The Chiefs Chiefs (36-1) know they'll have a flood of memories when they return to Normal for a practice Thursday. They hope their memories on Saturday night will be just as pleasant as they were on championship day last year.
"I remember all of it," said senior Beth Mickna. "We've been reminiscing all week since super-sectionals. Every detail, I remember. I'm excited to experience it again. And have fun with my girls again and finish of the season at Redbird."
Dee-Mack faces Elmhurst IC Catholic (34-6) in the state semifinals Friday at noon.
