District Approves Student Tracking Service

District 150 will soon have the tools they need to track students better into their higher education careers.
PEORIA – Distric 150 will soon have the tools they need to track students better into their higher education careers.

The board approved a National Student Clearinghouse StudentTracker Service, which will provide the district with data on what students do in higher education.

It will cost almost $1,275, $425 per high school per year. The district says it will also help them gauge the success of programs like 'College-Bound.'

"Hopefully telling us whether they've completed in four years or five years or dropped out so that we can communicate that information back to not only our board, but to our community," said Chris Coplan, District 150 Spokesman.

The cost of the service will be charged to the district's Education Fund.
