Donate Old Cell Phones to Help Domestic Violence Victims

The old cell phone collecting dust in your home, could be a lifeline for victims of domestic violence.

PEORIA - The old cell phone collecting dust in your home, could be a lifeline for victims of domestic violence. In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month,
Lieutenant Governor Shelia Simon launched her 3rd annual cell phone drive. For each phone donated, Verizon Wireless will give $10,000 to domestic violence shelters totaling up to $10,000. Phones will be given to Verizon’s Hopeline program, which provides them to victims of abuse. Cell phones can be dropped off at any Verizon store through October 10th.
