Driver Pleads NOT GUILTY to DUI in Officer's Death
A South Carolina driver, charged with aggravated DUI in connection with the death of a Pontiac police officer, pleaded NOT GUILTY Monday in Livingston County court. Jason Collins of West Columbia is charged following the death of Pontiac Police officer Casey Kohlmeier and his K 9 partner Draco last month on I 55 cross over median just north of Route 23. Authorities claim Collins was northbound on the interstate when he left the roadway and struck the officer's car. Collins' bond remains at one million dollars. He'll be back in court December 3rd.
