Early Morning Violence Leaves Two Dead in Henry

Illinois State Police conducting 'death investigation'
HENRY – Illinois State Police is investigating two deaths in a small Marshall County Town.

"The Henry Police Department was called to the residence at 1022 West Warren in Henry for the report of a subject at the door of the residence with a gun," said Illinois State Trooper, Dustin Pierce.

State  police are conducting the death investigation. Pierce said two people were killed.

"They found a female victim and a male victim. The female has died at the residence. He was transported from the residence to meet the life-flight helicopter, however he was pronounced dead before he was able to be transported to the hospital."

Neighbors said the female victim had recently moved into the house and was trying to fix it up.

Henry residents say it’s unusual for their small town to experience this level of violence.

"Any time you got a murder up the street it comes as a hell of a shock," said Jerry Henderson, who said he lives on Warren Street. "Things like that just don't happen here."

Police say they are not looking for any suspects at this time. Autopsies were scheduled for Friday afternoon. We're waiting to hear more details after the Marshall County Coroner notifies the victims' next of kin.
