Eight Days Later, Man Finds Dog in Rubble

Mans best friend found alive
WASHINGTON - The search and rescue is over for people, but Tuesday morning a four-legged friend was pulled out of the tornado's damage.

Residents aren't allowed into the Georgetown Common Apartments anymore. Management says the buildings have deteriorated even more because of the weather and are simply not safe. Even in such harsh conditions one dog managed to survive.

Eight days after the tornado hit a pooch named Dexter was found by his owner and rescue team called Operation Bring Animals Home. Skinny, but alive, Dexter was taken to the vet and is now home, safe and sound.
