Emo's Closes For The Year

A popular Peoria food stop is shutting its doors until 2014.
PEORIA – It’s closing day for the popular, but seasonal, Peoria eatery.

Emo’s closed its doors for the season on Sunday.

Manager Aubry Smith said business has been good and the place was busy all summer. She said that’s because of the many sunny and mild days.

Smith said she’s had some interesting requests, and she’s certain customers will miss Emo’s food. “We had somebody come yesterday saying they had ordered 24 chili dogs and they're going to freeze them and save them for throughout the winter. We also had somebody order 10 quarts of ice cream yesterday just to take it home and freeze it and have it throughout the winter time.”

Emo’s does not have an opening date for next year. Smith said it all depends on the weather.
