Families Reflect on Christmas at Mass

BLOOMINGTON - Along with Easter, Christmas is one of the busiest days for churches around the world.
BLOOMINGTON - Along with Easter, Christmas is one of the busiest days for churches around the world.

Twin Cities residents headed over to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church to celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas Eve and morning.

The service featured singing, reading of scripture and a time of prayer. Church leaders say it's an especially important tradition to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

"Today is the birthday. Today is the day our Savior was born,” said John Feit of Bloomington.

"This is such an important day, and in their life and in their family's life, they want to make sure that they are together and praising and giving thanks to God,” said Rev. Jerry Ward.

St. Patrick’s says it had a full house for its Christmas Eve masses. And for the Christmas morning service, there were just a few empty spaces.
