Family, Friends Await Dancer's Fate on Hit TV Show

PEORIA - It's a big night for a dancer with Peoria ties who is competing on the national stage.

PEORIA - It's a big night for a dancer with Peoria ties who is competing on the national stage.
18-year-old Du-Shaunt Stegall - better known as Fik-shun  -  is one of the last dancers remaining on  the Fox show "So You Think You Can Dance."
Tuesday, dancers had their last chance to impress the judges and voters with their moves before next week's season finale.
But one crowd already knows who they want to win. Fik-shun's family and friends held a special watch party of the episode Tuesday. His mom says it is a thrill to watch her son share his talent with the world, and she's asking for help to make her son's dream come true.
“This is where I need everyone to vote, because if anybody deserves this Du-Shaunt does. So the adrenaline is high, you know. My heart is racing. I'm excited and either way it goes, I'm proud,” said his mother Sabrina Brooks.
Winners will be announced next Tuesday on FOX.
