Federal Aid Deadline Extended for Tornado Victims

Tornado victims now have until February 3rd to apply for federal aid.

The deadline to apply for federal disaster aid for people affected by the November 17th tornadoes and severe storms has been extended to February 3rd.
The original registration deadline was January 27
Governor Quinn is applauding the Obama Administration’s decision to extend the deadline because of winter weather and federal holidays delaying the process.
Registration for disaster aid can be completed online can be completed at
www.disasterassistance.gov or by phone at 1 (800) 621-3362.
The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center in East Peoria plans to close its doors this Saturday.
