FEMA Opens Recovery Center in East Peoria

It's in the Festival of Lights Building
EAST PEORIA - Residents can visit another disaster recovery center in East Peoria. FEMA representatives are available to help people through the application process. Rental assistance is also available for people.

The Small Business Administration is also on hand for homeowners and renters to apply for loans. The center is open seven days a week at the Festival of Lights building until the need dies down.

"A lot of people just have questions and are feeling uneasy about how the process works and what do they do from here? So when they come into the disaster recourse center the individual assessment specialists will help them through that process," said FEMA representative, Deanna Frazier.

People will need to take along their Social Security number, contact information and checking account information. The deadline to apply is January 27th.
