Fondulac Library Unpacks 20,000 New Books

EAST PEORIA - Moving crews unloaded boxes of books by the truck-load.
EAST PEORIA - The new Fondulac District Library welcomed some new additions Wednesday, about 20,000 of them.

Moving crews unloaded boxes of books by the truck-load. The library is adding the 20,000 new editions to the existing collection of about 60,000.

Library Director, Amy Falasz-Peterson said the new building will have features like a drive-up window for book drop-off and they'll have the space to tackle other projects too.

“It's a brand new building. It's absolutely gorgeous. We're increasing our collection; we're increasing our square footage by about three times. We'll be able to offer more programming. We'll be able to hold more people," Falasz-Peterson said.

The library will hold its grand re-opening on November 2nd at 10:00 a.m.
