Galesburg Man Sentenced for Meth Manufacturing

A Galesburg man is sentenced to prison on participating in a meth manufacturing operation.
A Galesburg man was sentenced to 14 years in prison Wednesday for his role in a meth manufacturing operation. According to Knox County State's Attorney John Pepmeyer, the sentence handed to Richard Pinkowski will be concurrent with a pending charge in federal court. 28 year old Pinkowski was arrested at a Galesburg hotel last October, following complaints from staff of suspicious behavior. Police claim they located various methamphetamine manufacturing materials in the room Pinkowski had rented as well as in a car in the parking lot and in a nearby field. Prosecutor Pepmeyer credits the hotel staff for observing the suspicious behavior and notified police.
