BLOOMINGTON – Students at Central Catholic High School traveled around the world without even leaving the classroom.
The school’s annual geography fair took place today in Bloomington.
Each sophomore student had to present a country to faculty and staff.
Each display contained food samples, hand-made flags, and maps.
Students also dressed up in their respective country’s attire.
Teacher say the hands-on experience really helps students to learn more about other culture.
"I really like the fact that they're learning the culture of the different places and the different countries and that they're sharing it with other people,” said Tony Fabrizio, a social studies teacher.
"I think you really experience the culture...and delve into it in such a deeper manner you really know about it and you really learn about it,” said Hailey Paul, a student.
Each display is judged by at least ten faculty members.
