WASHINGTON - A candlelight vigil is paying tribute to the victims of Sunday’s storms.
A local family organized the event on Albert Street and Route eight.
About a dozen people attended Sunday’s gathering with candles in hand.
Other lights filled the streets.
Those taking part say the chilly weather didn't stop them from showing their support.
Organizer Kerstyn Smith hopes the evening vigil lets victims know they're not alone.
“The Washington Strong page on Facebook said if we can organizer it they will get the word out,” Smith explained.
The family is hoping to hold another candlelight vigil next weekend.
