Jumping Jax Opens in Washington

WASHINGTON - Central Illinois kids have a new place to hang out during the winter months.

After months of planning. Jumping Jax has opened in Washington near the Sunnyland Cinemas. Inside is a room full of slides and bouncy castles catered to children from toddlers to 12 years old.

The owners say it's in a good location, where people from all over Central Illinois can come to visit.

Plus, they say it's a place for families still coping with the tornado that swept through town to unwind.

"The kids can come and play and get their minds off of everything and it's just a release. And we love it too. We love the Washington community. Everybody's been really supportive,” said Curtis Minter, co-owner of Jumping Jax.

Minter says they are not quite done adding to the place. They hope to add televisions to the party rooms and set up dry erase boards for the kids.
